The PPID is a local institution with global reach. The Founder and Principal Researcher of PPID is a member of the British Association for South Asian Studies, Development Studies Association, Global Development Network, Regional Science Association, Royal Economic Society, Sri Lanka Economic Association, and a friend of the Economic Freedom of the World Network.

PPID is a non-charitable, at the same time non-profit, intellectual service provider. It is a self-funding research institution. The professional earnings of the Founder cum Principal Reseacher are utilised for the professional activities, community services, and publications of the PPID.

How to Support the Cause of Freedom?

There are several ways in which you can help the PPID to advance the cause of freedom in the war-torn Eastern and Northern Provinces and beyond. You could commission the PPID to undertake research studies that could be of mutual interest. You could also sponsor seminars/symposiums/workshops of mutual interest. The PPID would also welcome subcontracting part of your project that would have to be undertaken in the Eastern and Northern Provinces (for example, surveys, case studies, needs assessments, situation analyses, etc).

Another way you could help the cause of freedom is to purchase PPID publications and disseminate. Further, we would greatly appreciate if you could provide opportunities to market PPID publications at the events/functions organised by your organisation/institution. This would afford wider dissemination of research undertaken at the PPID, which are of national and international importance.

PPID would strive to translate all its Monographs into Sinhala and Tamil languages. However, this also entails greater financial resources. Therefore, PPID welcomes financial sponsorship of translation and printing of PPID publications, particularly the Monographs and the Working Papers.
