The Pathfinder Foundation commissioned a paper on the Informal Economy in the Conflict Region of Sri Lanka for the UN High Level Commission on Empowerment of the Poor in 2006. The Principal Researcher of PPID contributed the Chapter on Poverty in the Conflict-Affected Region for the periodical Poverty Assessment undertaken by the World Bank in Sri Lanka in 2005
In March 2005, the Principal Researcher was a member of the Post-Tsunami Needs Assessment Phase II team to Kilinochchi and Mullaitivu districts representing the International Labour Organisation (ILO). The Donor Peace Support Group (DPSG) had commissioned the Centre for Policy Alternatives (CPA) to prepare a Quarterly Report on Monitoring the Factors Affecting the Peace Process in 2005. The CPA had sub-contracted the Socio Economic Development component of the Quarterly Report to the PPID. During 2005 and 2006 the PPID contributed to the Quarterly Reports on the Socio Economic Development nationally as well as in the conflict region.
The Principal Researcher of PPID is the National Collaborator of Oxford Analytica (Oxford, U.K.) for the Annual Review of Fiscal and Monetary Transparency in Sri Lanka. Oxford Analytica undertakes a Review of the Fiscal and Monetary Transparency in 28 emerging economies throughout the world annually for CalPERS, the largest public pension fund in the United States.
