Sanjeewanie has earned a Doctorate at the Polish Academy of Sciences, Warsaw, Poland in 2019, Master of Arts in Economy and Society at the University of Lancaster (UK) in 2014, Master of Arts in Economics at the University of Colombo (Sri Lanka) in 2005, and Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Economics at the University of Ruhuna (Sri Lanka) in 2001.  Rathindra Kuruwita (M.Sc. Strategic Studies, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore and B.A., University of Kelaniya, Sri Lanka) has 14 years of experience in journalism, research, and NGO activity. He was a fellow at the Daniel K. Inouye Asia-Pacific Center for Security Studies (APCSS) in 2018, and a participant in the International Visitors’ Leadership Program (IVLP) organised by the Department of State, U.S.A. in 2016. He was a resource person at the Institute of National Security Studies Sri Lanka between 2017 and 2020. He won the Environmental Journalist of the Year in 2012, Investigative Journalist of the Year in 2010, and Feature Writer of the Year in 2007 at the Journalism Awards for Excellence organized by the Editors Guild of Sri Lanka. He is currently the news editor at The Island newspaper and is a consultant to Movement for Land and Agricultural Reform (MONLAR, Sri Lanka).
